The Tesla of experimental approach! Details found here.
Katie Conlon, another rotation student from the BCMB program! She will be working on the lipid trafficking at synapses. 5/8/2017
Shigeki was named the finalist for the FEI Young Investigator Life Sciences Award.
Despite a big trend in the field, we will keep using electron microscopy for cell biology!
We have a new rotation student! Alexis Tomaszewski from the BCMB program. She will be characterizing a protein likely involved in ultrafast endocytosis. -4/25/2017
Dr. Imoto just joined the lab! He came all the way from Japan on the JSPS fellowship. He will be working on membrane remodeling at synapses. Welcome to the lab!
Morven is finishing up his final week in our lab. He worked really hard over the last two months. He will head back to Dartmouth to finish up his undergraduate degree and will be applying for a graduate school in this coming Fall. Good luck, Morven! We are hoping that you would come back to Hopkins for your PhD work (and before that to finish up the project :)!
At Hunan Taste. -3/17/2017
Grant Kusick has joined the lab! He did a rotation in Fall and performed brilliant experiments on vesicle fusion kinetics. He will continue on the project, aiming to reveal the structural organization and molecular mechanisms that allow mammalian central synapses to be unreliable.
Our collaborative project got funded! Really exciting!! -2/1/2017
